35% Castelao, 25% Tinta Roriz, 25% Syrah, and 15% Touriga Nacional from Lisboa, Portugal.
Pressing after total destemming. Fermentation in 26.500 liters vats, with programmable pumping over system and temperature control to 28.º C - 30. º C. Skin contact maceration and (submerged) cap for 28 days. Four months aging in oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby color with purple tints. Very aromatic with youthful aromas of ripe black and red fruits, particularly dried plum, blackberry, and tea. On the palate it has a dried fruit character of cranberry, plum, raisin, juicy plums and dark berry fruit flavor with plenty of fresh yet fine chalky, moderate tannins that take over at the spice and licorice driven finish.
A great value, food-friendly, versatile medium-bodied red. This wine will pair exceptionally well with Beef, Veal, Poultry & Pasta. Best enjoyed with friends and parties!
