77% Chardonnay and 23% Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon. Practicing Organic, Black Winemaker.
VINIFICATION: Planted in Jory soil, with Eastern exposure. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are sourced from the prestigious Hyland vineyard in the McMinnville AVA. This is one of Oregon's oldest vineyards (planted in 1971) that consistently produces fruit of high quality. 600-800 feet ASL. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are vinified separately. The Chardonnay is fermented and raised in stainless steel tanks, while the Pinot goes through a light press, after which it is combined with the chardonnay to give it its color (a la Rosé Champenois).
TASTING NOTES: This fresh, aromatic Rosé has vibrant aromas of red berries that are reflected on the palate along with notes of watermelon and kiwi. Fresh & crisp, w/ balanced acidity and a lovely mineral tinged finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Pair this Rosé with spicy Mexican, Indian or Chinese dishes; also pairs exceptionally well with Sushi, Seafood, Shellfish, & with a light spring/summer salad!
