ABOUT: Our flagship Cabernet, Synthesis is blended to showcase the nuances of the Napa Valley floor counterbalanced by the structure and tertiary notes of the mountains. Always quintessential Napa, it truly depicts the breadth of the appellation and distinctness of the vintage.

From the high elevations and volcanic soils of Diamond and Howell Mountain, to the alluvial soils and warmer weather of Yountville, Rutherford and Stags, this wine is the perfect marriage of the contrasting styles each vineyard offers.

VINEYARD BREAKDOWN: 30% Yountville, 29% Rutherford, 15% Oakville, 12% Stags Leap District, 5% Howell Mountain, 5% Mount Veeder, 4% Diamond Mountain District

VINTAGE NOTES: Starting with rain during bloom, 2019 transitioned into a steady, slow to warm spring. Temperate throughout the summer, offering only a couple intermittent heat spikes. Average yields and incredible quality with harvest beginning in early August.

VINIFICATION: Hand-picked barrel lots of our favorite vineyards. Fermented in small 5 ton open top fermenters for two weeks with pump overs for cap management. Aged in 62% new French oak for 16 months.

TASTING NOTES: Complex and polished with deep Black Fruit and a powerful core of Herbaceous, Dusty Earth. Blackberry and Sweet Black Cherry with touches of Dried Sage. Rustic throughout, with Tobacco, bittersweet Cocoa and Cobbler notes with structured, Chalky tannins and a hint of Vanilla. Long, complex finish.
