100% Fiano di Avellino, from Campania, Italy.

ABOUT: The first wine produced in the Stilèma ("stylistic choice") range, Fiano is harvested from vineyard sites across Manocalzati, featuring clayey-calcareous soils of medium texture, and Montefalcione, featuring sandy, loose, volcanic soil. Vines sit at 550 meters above sea level, with an average planting density of 4,000 plants / ha.

VINIFICATION: The wine is aged 24 months on the lees, which imparts remarkable flavor and longevity in the wine. Malolactic fermentation rounds off its profile, giving it softness and persistence. About 10% ferments and ages in wood (non-first passage barriques) for 12 months. The final blend was refined 18 months in bottle before release.

TASTING NOTES: (Winemaker's Notes) Light straw yellow, with hints of greenish reflections. This Fiano offers a broad and complex bouquet, of Smoky notes and Mediterranean Brush, followed by delicate nuances of Aromatic Herbs and Dried Fruits. On the palate, this wine is clean and Nervy, with Salty characters and a complex, long finish.

WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: "This gorgeous, mineral-driven white delivers aromas and flavors of Ripe Apple, Oyster Shell, a hint of Toasted Almond, Saline and a Smoky note that's present in the greatest expressions of Fiano. Elegant and loaded with energy, this will age beautifully and develop even more complexity. To fully enjoy its depth, serve chilled but not too cold." - 94 pts, Kerin O'Keefe

FOOD PAIRING: This wine will pair beautifully with Shellfish, Seafood, Vegetarian Dishes, Appetizers, Cheese, and simple Roast Poultry dishes. Drink now, or hold.
