Silver medal at the Gamay International contest 2019, this Saint Amour Cru has been vinified in the traditional manner.

Patchwork of soil from mainly Blue volcanic rock and shistose to granite and clay. East and South-East, with Gobelet trained vines. Sustainable practices; HEV (High Environmental Value) certification. Manual harvesting and sorting on the estate. Concrete vats. Macerated on skins for 15 days,100% de-stemmed. Fermented at 28-30°C (controlled temperature). Malolactic fermentation carried out ager alcoholic fermentation. Several rackings and cap punching opera&ons. Matured for 8-10 months in foudre (large oak barrel) before being bottled on the estate.

TASTING NOTES: It displays a lovely ruby red hue. The nose is expressive and presents aromas of stewed red fruit and ripe cherries. The wine is clean and round on entry to the palate which is dominated by aromas of cherries in kirsch, morello cherries and spices, and shows good length. With its meaty, powerful character, this is a Cru with good cellar-aging potential (3-5 yrs). Serve between 17-19°C.

FOOD PAIRING: Serve with stews and grilled meat, small free-range chicken à la crème, guinea fowl breast fillets, beef carpaccio, andouillette, roast beef, goat's cheese, chocolate mousse.
