ABOUT: Sparkling red, Lambrusco-style, from Darek Trowbridge, one of the OG Cali natural winemakers. This is his sparkling red made from old-vine Arbouriou (an obscure French grape, and the only known planting in the US) that he picks early for freshness and acidity and ferments it ColFondo style, the Italian ancestral method for making sparkling wine.
TASTING NOTES: This wine drinks very similarly to an Italian Lambrusco. Med. Garnet Color w/ Orange Rim. Light bodied, dry Red Pet Nat. Aromas of Inky Black Fruit, Tart Rhubarb & Underripe Strawberry. The palate has Refreshingly bone dry, high-acid that cuts through Fat & Salt like a knife. Fruit forward yet dry with Cherries, Blueberries & Cranberries, Wet Earth & Mushroom. Minerally, and incredibly well balanced. Med. Finish.
