100% Chardonnay from Lodi, California. Sustainable, Woman Winemaker.
HISTORY: At Sand Point, we think nature has its place – and that place is in and around our vineyards. We’ve restored the riparian habitat where our ranch meets the Mokelumne River – including the spot that gave Sand Point its name. Since then, we’ve brought nearby sloughs back into natural balance and surrounded our vineyards with 15-foot-wide swaths of native plants and trees, inviting bugs, birds and animals to make themselves at home. In return, the healthy soil and water nourishes our vines. Wild? Yes… but to us, it’s following in nature’s footsteps.
ABOUT: The sustainably certified vineyards we use to craft Sand Point wines are only a few short miles from the ranch where Sand Point lies, in the heart of the Lodi Appellation. The classic Mediterranean climate and its sandy soil provide the perfect conditions for quality wines.
TASTING NOTES: Pale Yellow/Straw color. Two styles of Chardonnay come together to create a balance between Crisp Apple notes, Tropical Fruit & Honeydew Melon. Layered within these aromas and flavors are hints of Pear, Vanilla & Pastry notes that lead to a Buttercream & Toffee inflected finish. Overall, this is a wine of both vibrancy and richness, and will appeal to fans of both Oaked and Un-Oaked Chardonnay.
FOOD PAIRING: This wine will pair beautifully with Rich Fish, White Fish w/ Butter & Lemon, Shellfish (especially Lobster, Clams, or Scallops in Butter), as well as with Roasted Chicken dishes, and Turkey.
