VINIFICATION: Handpicked grapes are Macerated on their skins for 10 days, after which the juice underwent Spontaneous Fermentation w/ Native Yeast. The wine was then aged in French Oak casks for 5 months before being bottled.
ABOUT: 140 year old Vineyards, planted in 1880, are situated in a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot days & cold nights. 600mm of rain in the year. This terroir is very typical of river basins: deep, Alluvial and Silty-Clay, w/ Volcanic Mineral presence. Vine Training System: Godet. Vineyards are not irrigated. Vineyard Planting Year: 1880 (140 years).
TASTING NOTES: Medium Cherry Red. On the nose it presents an intense aroma reminiscent of delicately Spiced Strawberry, Raspberry, Cranberry & notes of Hazelnut. On the palate, it is a fresh & vibrant wine, w/ Red Fruits & hints of Tobacco, Smoke & Charcoal. Juicy, w/ lively tannins, & a long, fresh and elegant finish.
Ideal temperature of consumption 13/14°c.
